************************************* There has been feedback from other merchants in the Hiddenwood Shopping Center that attendees at Amy's have been "hogging" parking spaces that are "convenient" to some of the stores. Parking is in the shopping center's domain. Rodio, owner of the Upper Deck, has announced that Shag Club members who
want to attend live Band performances and purchase their tickets in
advance, for a reduced price, can call her at 757-428-0048 with credit
card information so you won't have to travel to VB to pick up your
tickets. Check

format for dance lessons at Saturday night club social (6-7pm) From now on, lessons are on
a two-month cycle starting the first Saturday of every odd number month
(except it will start on second Saturday in January). The cycle consists
of six progressive lessons, each with a planned syllabus. The syllabus of
seventh, eight, and ninth week (if there is one) are to be announced later
and may vary with each cycle. Lesson no. 1 Shag Basic and the Female turn 2 Review previous week, Male turn and the Starter step with lead out (1/2 CCW turn back to open for lady) 3 Review previous week, start footwork mods, crossover basic, Cuddle-up with lead out (1/2 CCW turn back to open for lady). Trail with lead out as above, but with a hand change back to normal. 4 Review previous week, continue footwork mods, kick-ball-change. Tuck turn from Starter step and from Cuddle up. Option move: Male/female free spin in place (butt-roll) 5 Review previous week, footwork mods, shuffle step. Open tuck turn, (push turn) both stay in place, lady turns 1 CW turn. Halo turn, from open position, man leads lady 1 CCW turn in place. 6 Review previous week, cross-over basic with kick/ball/change. Man follows lady across/down slot. Man leads lady into a “Natural” CCW (inside) turn from a closed to the open position. Now add the “Natural” turn as the man follows lady to her end of slot. Format of lessons 7 and 8 will be published in subsequent newsletters.
